ABILENE -- Cameron broke a 6-6 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh as the sixth-ranked Aggies went on to a 10-6 win over Eastern New Mexico in an elimination game at the Lone Star Conference Baseball Championship at Crutcher Scott Field.
The top-seeded Aggies are now 42-14 and advance to Monday's play, while the Greyhounds see their season end at 28-28.
With the game tied, Blake Watson led off the top of the seventh with a walk and then went to second on a single by Clint Powell. Keith Powell then singled to load the bases for the Aggies.
Kyle Nyhart and Josh Barnett followed with a pair of sacrifice flies to make it 8-6 before Chase Elder doubled in Keith Powell to make it 9-6. That was all the Aggies needed to keep their tournament run alive and put an end to the Greyhounds' season.
ENMU left runners at second and third in the bottom of the seventh and the bottom of the ninth as it went 0-2 in its first-ever tournament appearance.
Logan Grimes (9-1) went six innings to pick up the win for the Aggies, while James Maxwell worked the final three innings to pick up his ninth save. Matthew Aragon was tagged with the loss for the Greyhounds, falling to 2-4.

Tickets can be purchased online by clicking on the ticket button above. No one will be admitted into the stadium without a ticket, and no passes will be accepted. All children age 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
Fans interested in pre-ordering an all-session tournament pass can order those online for $20, or they can order single-day tickets for $10 apiece. Those tournament passes or tickets can be order anytime from April 13-May 1. Any tournament passes or tickets ordered online between April 13 and April 24 can be mailed to those placing the order, or they can be picked up in Room 216-A in Moody Coliseum on the ACU campus.
However, those tournament passes or tickets must be picked up by noon on Friday, May 1.
